ART SHOW OPENING: “Light in August," August 5th

The Geoffrey Young Gallery invites everyone to "Light in August," a group show of paintings, drawings, and photographs by 20 amazing artists from New York, Los Angeles and the Berkshires, including Gregory Crewdson, James Welling, Dan Fischer, Kim McCarty, Jessica Hess, Walton Ford and Ernesto Caivano.

The sensational Max Maslansky, a recent graduate of Cal Arts, will have two
new paintings and some watercolors; New York mid-career artist Elena Sisto
will show a new painting called "Captain;" and Hope Gangloff, Warren Isensee and Bill Adams will all have new works on paper. Dan Zeller's celebrated topographic fantasies will be represented by a new work, 14" x 17" in size, and Trevor Winkfield, fresh from a month at Yaddo, will have brightly
colored new paintings.

Light--that which by its presence makes things visible--will make the
productions of these widely different artists sing. Feel free to tune in.

The opening reception will be held Saturday, August 5th, 5:30 - 7:30. All are invited. The gallery will participate in the Great Barrington Art Walk that evening.

The show will run through Saturday, August 28th.
